Put a Little Love Into It

If you’re going to take time to serve dessert, put some love into it!  Make it look fantastically edible.  It’s a fact that people eat with their eyes, so decorate your desserts in a way that make them irresistible; its easy:
Just buy some dessert/ fruit sauces online (or you can simple water down a good quality preserve until it has a saucy consistency) place them into a squeeze bottle with a pointed tip, and go to town.  Use different colors to “paint” you plate.  Sprinkle some powdered sugar or cocoa powder around the edge of the plate. Throw some shaved chocolate on top and we have a winner.

Just whatever you do…do it with love and it will always be beautiful!

Booze It Up!

That’s right; Booze it up!  If you want to do something fun with cheesecake, take your favorite sweet liquor (Grand Marnier, Bailey’s, Chambord, Kailua, Crème de Menthe, Etc) and pour it over your slice of cheesecake.  It will add a unique flavor to our creamy New York style cheesecake and it makes dessert time a little more fun.  If you really want to get crazy you can flambé your cheesecake: Just warm a small amount (about 1 shot) of liquor in a microwave (not hot, just enough to warm it) then pour it over the slice and ignite the liquor with a lighter. Just be careful and stand back.
